Climate change is expected to have severe and far-reaching impacts on ecosystems, economies, and societies worldwide, and vulnerable populations are likely to be disproportionately affected. Capacity building can include a range of activities, such as training, education, research, policy development, and infrastructure development. By building capacity across sectors and governments, individuals and communities can better understand the risks and vulnerabilities associated with climate change and develop strategies to minimize the negative impacts and maximize opportunities.

Low Carbon Training for Engineering Professionals
As part of Canada Green Building Council’s Building Skills for Climate Change: Low-Carbon Training Program, Climate Risk Institute (CRI), together with Engineers Canada, is developing a specialized low-carbon buildings training course for engineers and other practitioners in the building workforce.
