Chris is a Software Engineer, devoting his skills to CanAdapt at the Climate Risk Institute.  He is a full stack developer, but has spent much of his time at startups and consulting focused on backend software engineering.

Chris is also serving his second term elected to local government in Squamish, BC, and is one of eleven Directors that make up the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District board.  As an active member of the Climate Caucus and 3rd Vice President of the Lower Mainland Local Government Association, climate change is a primary focus of his work.  This includes everything from advocacy to policy development, to making decisions about mitigating, responding to, and recovering from flooding, forest fires, landslides and debris flow hazards that are becoming more frequent and severe.

Given his front-row seat to the impacts of climate change, Chris is grateful for the opportunity to bring his software skills to bear on climate risk challenges.

When not coding or contemplating climate policy, Chris is immersed in music and sound; learning new instruments, and volunteering or moonlighting as a live sound technician.
