Harris Switzman, P. Geo., MASc., ENV SP
Harris Switzman is a professional geoscientist with a masters in hydroclimatology and a graduate diploma in environment, water and health. He is currently the General Manager of Environment and Sustainability for the Calgary Airport Authority and is a Envision Sustainability Professional. He has been involved in climate risk management since 2010 with a variety of organizations and contexts in Canada and globally. Harris is currently also Chair of the Calgary Climate Panel, a member of the City of Calgary’s Climate Advisory Committee, Vice Chair of the Canadian Airports Council’s environment committee, and a member of the Bow River Basin Council Science Committee.
Harris lives, works and plays in Mohkinstsis (Calgary) in Treaty 7 territory in Alberta with his wife and two boys. In his spare time, he enjoys any outdoor adventure, biking and anticipating the Toronto Blue Jays’ next run for the World Series.
