Global Forum April 18 – 20, 2023, Vancouver BC

Preparing our communities and infrastructure for climate impacts means ensuring practitioners have the knowledge, competencies, and best resources and tools at their disposal. This event will highlight the research, information, tools, training, and Canadian and international expertise that has been developed to understand and manage climate risks for infrastructure.

The Global Forum will be held in Vancouver, BC from April 18 to 20, 2023. It will include two days of plenary and keynote addresses, breakout session presentations and engagement sessions, exhibits, and one day of field visits. Global Forum sessions are being carefully planned to share proven methods, tools, and approaches for conducting and using the results of climate change and infrastructure risk assessments across all relevant project life cycle phases. It will also support newcomers to the PIEVC methodology in their learning journey and in accessing existing resources and expertise.

The Global Forum will provide unique learning and networking opportunities, assembling more than 80 professionals from international governments and development agencies, all orders of Canadian government, industry, NGOs, and consultancies. The event will build on a highly successful 8-month PIEVC webinar series with almost 400 registrants from 28 countries and will serve as the official launch of the PIEVC Practitioners’ Network.
