Paul J Payette PhD MBA, A/Director of Business Development, Human Health Therapeutics Research Centre, National Research Centre, National Research Council of Canada.

Dr. Payette is the acting Director of Business Development, Human Health Therapeutics Research Centre at the National Research Council of Canada. He has more than 20 years of combined experience and training in science, policy, and business management. He holds a BSc, MSc, and PhD in the discipline of microbiology and immunology, as well as an executive MBA. He has held leadership positions at the Scientist and Director levels in many organizations across the public, private, and non-profit sectors. His passion is working at the interface of science, policy, and business, coordinating the development and translation of innovative science and services for better domestic and global outcomes.

As a founding Director of the Climate Risk Institute and an influential and collaborative member of many leadership teams, Dr. Payette brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the organization in the areas of strategic and operational planning, corporate frameworks, and business management. Throughout his career he has played key roles in the implementation of marketing and business development strategies, innovative partnerships and strategic alliances, as well as stakeholder engagement across public, private, and non-profit sectors
