Sault Ste. Marie OP Review

This project with the City of Sault Ste. Marie involved review of the City’s draft Official Plan to identify potential gaps, possible issues with maladaptation, and opportunities for implementation of additional adaptation actions/direction. CRI completed the review and performed a high-level comparison of the proposed policy with applicable provincial planning policy and relevant examples from other community’s Official Plans. Recommendations were made regarding the introduction of additional guidance for the implementation of climate change adaptation policies and direction into the Official Plan text, where appropriate. Key findings were summarized and discussed with Sault Saint Marie Staff for their consideration.
