As a Senior Climate Resiliency Specialist with the Climate Risk Institute, Samantha leads and supports projects and initiatives designed to advance sectoral, municipal, provincial/territorial, national, and international efforts on climate change risk, resiliency planning, implementation, and capacity building.

She has over 10 years of multi-sector experience managing and implementing climate adaptation projects and policies in southern Canada, the Canadian Arctic, the Caribbean, Africa, Asia, and Central/South America with a focus on resilient infrastructure, coastal adaptation, risk and vulnerability assessments, policy development, municipal planning, science literacy, facilitation, and building community and institutional capacity to respond to climate impacts.

Samantha holds a Masters of Applied Science in Climate Change Adaptation from Saint Mary’s University and an Advanced Certificate in Design Thinking from IDEO, allowing her to bring both a technical and human-centered creative mindset to climate challenges.

Samantha currently lives in Nova Scotia and when not at work, you can find her hiking, scuba diving, or trying out a new recipe!
