Brook Tessema is an Analyst, Climate Adaptation and Resilience at CRI. As an Analyst, he works with a wide range of stakeholder groups to build climate resilience and capacity. Brook is highly knowledgeable of climate change impacts on the local and global level with experience researching and reporting on climate adaptation initiatives across Canada. Brook supports the facilitation of knowledge exchange to communities and practitioners across a wide range of sectors through webinars, workshops, and training programs. He has experience conducting literature reviews, risk assessments, writing case studies and developing materials that highlight climate adaptation in action. 

Brook holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies from York University, with a certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing. 

Throughout his experiences Brook has developed a passion for climate risk awareness and enjoys working to advance sustainable development initiatives that aim for positive change. Brook enjoys spending time outdoors by exploring pockets of nature in cities as well as spending time with friends and family
